# CedCommerce or TikTok's channel · GMV Ledger > Source: https://gmvledger.cc/compare/shopify-tiktok-app-vs-cedcommerce Store integration ## CedCommerce or TikTok's channel Your stock lives in Shopify, and a TikTok Shop sale that ignores it can sell a unit you no longer have. I'd start with TikTok's free Shopify channel for one store and one TikTok Shop account, and I'd move to CedCommerce when the shop needs several EU markets or refunds on the Shopify order. **Disclosure:**We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Updated 2026-10-22. ### What TikTok's channel syncs, and what CedCommerce syncs [TikTok's Shopify listing](https://apps.shopify.com/tiktok) says the channel syncs TikTok Shop to Shopify so products can be shown in video and LIVE. After setup, [Shopify's product help](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-sales-channels/social-commerce/tiktok/products) says your products sync automatically with TikTok Shop. A purchase then shows on the Orders page, and you fulfil it from the Shopify admin. When that order is placed, TikTok checks Shopify inventory. [Shopify's orders page](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-sales-channels/social-commerce/tiktok/orders) says an available item becomes an order in the admin. If the item has no stock left, Shopify does not create the order, so you avoid selling the same last unit on TikTok and on the web shop. The same orders page says a refund still has to be completed in TikTok Seller Center. [CedCommerce's TikTok Shop page](https://cedcommerce.com/marketplace-integration/sell-on-tiktok-shop/) describes updates to orders, prices and inventory as near real-time. Refund and cancelled order sync is listed on the paid Basic plan on [its Shopify App Store listing](https://apps.shopify.com/cedcommerce-tiktok-shop). CedCommerce's paid Basic plan can write the return onto the Shopify order, while TikTok's channel leaves the refund in Seller Center. [TikTok's Seller University](https://seller-us.tiktok.com/university/essay?knowledge%5Fid=1411491407365934&lang=en) tells you to disconnect connector apps that are not compatible with TikTok for Shopify before you connect the official app, because those apps can break order status. ### The free channel against CedCommerce's plans Each card below lists what that connector charges. TikTok's channel charges no connector fee. When you run a campaign, the listing says you set the budget and the ad spend bills to your TikTok ad account. [Read the review](/reviews/cedcommerce-tiktok-shop) CedCommerce's free plan lists and syncs up to 100 products, in the US or the UK. Seller University limits a new seller to syncing 100 products a day, and that count resets the next day. One cap is how many products the free CedCommerce plan will carry. The other is how fast a new TikTok Shop account can receive products on the official channel. A larger catalog can take several days to finish syncing there. The plan names differ between CedCommerce's own page and the App Store listing. Basic and Advanced on the cards come from the App Store listing. Growth comes from CedCommerce's own TikTok page, which adds Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Ireland to the US and UK. Advanced, on that listing, says the US, the UK and all EU. On the Shopify page where you install the app, pick the plan that fits your order volume. ### When TikTok's free Shopify channel is enough Stay on TikTok's channel if your store is on Shopify, you connect only one TikTok Shop account, and you can finish refunds in Seller Center. A new seller whose catalog is larger than one day's sync continues the next day, under the daily cap above. Public reports on the official app describe inventory that drifts away from Shopify, duplicate listings after product linking is changed, and orders that never appear because Shopify reads the item as out of stock. That missing order matches the stock check on the orders page. The channel review goes into that product-linking complaint. ### When the CedCommerce fee is worth paying CedCommerce earns the monthly fee when you sell in two or more of the Growth regions named above, or when you need the Advanced line that says all EU. Refund and cancelled order sync, on the paid Basic plan, writes the return onto the Shopify order you already fulfil. The same TikTok page has tabs for WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce, PrestaShop, BigCommerce and Etsy. CedCommerce also publishes a way off TikTok's own Shopify app. [The support article](https://support.cedcommerce.com/portal/en/kb/articles/moving-from-tiktok-1p-app-to-cedcommerce-tiktok-shop-connector) includes removing that app after the SKUs are linked. ### Disconnect the old connector before you install the new one Seller University states that one Shopify store connects to one TikTok Shop account at a time. If a second connector is still installed, TikTok says order status can break. Disconnect it before you install the official app. Moving onto CedCommerce runs in the other direction: link the SKUs, then remove TikTok's app, which is the step in the support article above. Do that removal before live orders depend on the new sync. ### What sellers report when sync breaks On the official app, merchants describe stock in Shopify that does not match TikTok Shop, duplicate listings after they redo product linking, and orders blocked while Shopify treats the SKU as having no inventory. On CedCommerce, sellers who moved a large catalog speak well of the help they got during that move. Other paying merchants say the product count inside the app does not match the count in TikTok Shop, and that a support chat closed before the mismatch was fixed. I'd judge the choice by how many markets you sell in and how large the catalog is. Plan figures here come from the vendors' own pages, and these buyer notes are public reports. A large catalog on its own would keep me on the free channel, because a new seller can continue the sync on the following days.
